Kathryn ("Katie") Newell primarily represents clients in education cases. Katie has extensive experience advocating for students with disabilities, as well as addressing school disciplinary matters. She is passionate about helping families resolve problems concerning their child's education. In addition, Katie helps adult students address concerns involving a college or university.

Katie is a Montana native and received her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. She obtained her JD from UC Berkeley, School of Law in 2007. Katie subsequently worked in San Antonio as an attorney with Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, Inc. ("TRLA"), a nonprofit organization that represents low-income individuals. In 2010 she created TRLA's Special Education Team, which she managed until 2017. During her time in Texas, Katie also co-founded and co-chaired an Education and Juvenile Justice Task Force to provide support for children's advocates throughout Texas. Katie is excited to bring her knowledge and experience to families in the Denver Metro Area.
